Bella Vista is a neighborhood in the southern section of Philadelphia. Its boundaries include South Street, Washington Street, 6th Street, and 11th Street. The name Bella Vista hails from the Italian for ‘beautiful sight’ which was bestowed upon the area as it was the first neighborhood in Philadelphia to be settled by Italian immigrants. The Bella Vista neighborhood is considered to be the brunch capital of Philadelphia.
